We have a wide variety of facilities available which suit the individual needs of our clients. If you are looking for cardio, pilates or strength training we have it all. Our do it yourself programmes or taylor made workouts are there for you to choose from. J Fit knows that you will find the perfect programme in the studio.

Weights
Working with weights means an increased muscle strength, power, endurance and size and enhanced performance of everyday tasks. You will be able to do everyday tasks like lifting, carrying and walking up stairs with greater ease. By working the muscles through a full range of motion, weight training can improve your overall body flexibility. Increased flexibility reduces the risk of muscle pulls and back pain. Boosted metabolism (which means burning more calories when at rest). Reduced body fat. Your overall weight may not change, but you will gain muscle and lose fat. Over time you should notice decreases in waist measurements and bodyfat measurement. The conditioning effect will result in firmer and better-defined muscles.

Pilates
Pilates exercises train several muscle groups at once in smooth, continuous movements. By developing proper technique, you can actually re-train your body to move in safer, more efficient patterns of motion - invaluable for injury recovery, sports performance, good posture and optimal health.
Pilates is also an extremely flexible exercise system. Pilates is an accessible way to build strength in your core-muscles for better posture and balance. Modifications to the exercises allow for a range of difficulty ranging from beginning to advanced. Get the workout that best suits you now, and increase the intensity as your body conditioning improves.

Machines
Machines are the safest muscle builders ever created, and in some cases, they serve as the best means of isolating certain muscles. Since you only need to sit in the machine and select a weight, you can progress through your workout quickly. You can also easily perform supersets by moving from one machine to another without having to worry about readjusting dumbbells or finding ones that are of appropriate weight for your next set. If you are dealing with a major injury, machines can be a great option because they can isolate a particular body part (or muscle group) so you can still completely rest your injured muscle. This will allow you to remain in shape while going through the healing process. J-Fit boasts a wide range of machines and elasticated resistance bands to target specific muscle groups.
